Welcome @Former-Member - thanks for sharing. Seems like although these are very difficult, you and your partner are going through it with great awareness

What I’ve listed are the constant ones. Shaking, slurring, extreme fatigue... have gone

Hi All. I'm a bit late but I've read through everyone's comments, so I feel like I've caught up.

I really struggle with side effects and I guess I always have despite trying out what feels like every medication under the sun!

At the moment I'm on a small dose SSRI and larger dose mood stabiliser - not sure what family it's in.

I'm also on a fair few pain meds as I have several chronic conditions that cause severe pain. In the mix of both lots of meds I'm getting quite a few side effects. Over all the years this is the best and most stable I've been mentally, so I'm reluctant to rock the boat as it were.

I'm getting the sweats (massive massive sweating), difficulty urinating, massive dry mouth (Sahara desert type dry), massive weight gain, headaches, some drowsiness, and unfortunately I'm unable to reach climax. Everything functions ok, but it's like I can't feel any pleasure at all. Making me very upset and it's really really difficult to get anyone to help. No-one really wants to hear about it and it's very difficult to talk about.

I'm up several times to go to the toilet.
I have had a child but I think my continence isn't as good on certain meds

I was put on a med known for weight gain and, sure enough, I started stacking on kg. No matter what I did, it kept going up. Even worse was the feeling of fog - I felt muffled, not really living. To me, it wasn’t giving me balance, it was flattening me.
I talked to my doctor about it, pointing out the health risks that were right around the corner thanks to rapid large weight gain. So he agreed that I needed something else and I’m now on another med that is working without those side effects.

Ahhh yes I forgot to say my meds are turning me into a robot ... which is not a bad thing really as they keep me calm but still ....
