work colleague
This is my first post. Last night I woke up every two hours thinking of how to respond to a colleague I used to take breaks with. She called me in to have a discussion to mend our relationship. I started by apologising for turning my hurt feelings into anger towards her.
Not openly, but I stopped talking to her. I explained how she hurt me and she "Didn't Remember" the incidences and then she proceeded to deflect everything back to me. She knows I suffer from depression. I want to tell her I found her ingenuous and that I will not consider a reconcilatio one minute and the next I think I'll just ignore it. To be honest I am sick and tired of trying to keep the peace. I want her to know she can't walk all over me to suit herself. ???????????????

Re: work colleague
@DB65 Hi DB65 and welcome to the forums. Okay this is what I would do firstly I would just get on with my work and ignore the behaviour. Secondly I would busy myself at lunch either with other people at work or by myself. Life is too short to be worrying about someone like that. Just be your nice self and don't let her drag you down. I hope this helps a bit. greenpea

Re: work colleague
Thanks, I have been ignoring it and taking my breaks with other people. I thought she wanted to reconcile but it wasn't until I thought about the discussion afterwards that I realised she didn't care at all and was just making herself feel better. Do I have to rise above it ?
