Oh so many aspects @Rhymster
both my parents had the diagnosis, and my sister, for what its worth, and then my husband. As it was my normal, I was not scared off by the diagnosis, but maybe I should have been. I barely survived the marriage.
I learned not to say the S word cos so called normal people couldn’t cope. My relationships were very different and each of the people were very different.
I did biol and all that and studied, but it would have been nice to be able to speak frankly and share about my family without shame and rejection.

@Appleblossom I am very sorry to hear about your abusive marriage please know I am completely non judgmental for we all walk our own path through life none better than another. I barely survived childhood so can readily empathize.

I see schizophrenia as more of a trauma issue than genetic
@Rhymster So what you said makes sense to me. My story is complicated and I don’t want to make this thread too much about myself.

@Appleblossom I am getting there going through a bit at the moment. I have CPTSD so know all about complicated. I have a specialist counselor who is still struggling to figure Me out
