After tagging everyone I am suddenly concerned that I am posting in the wrong space. Maybe my friends at SANE can move it if that is the case lol.
So I thought we might talk about exercise. We just have to be a bit careful due to community guidelines not to mention distance/cals/weight etc.
I have a few questions for you all.
* Do you enjoy exercise?
* Did you have a sport you enjoyed as a child?
* Do you do any sport now?
* What are your favourite ways to exercise?
* What was your favourite bit of the basic training obstacles?
For me I am not especially keen on exercise because I have not kept up my fitness. I used to enjoy softball as a child. At the moment I am working on walking and doing my mini cycle. Roller skating is my favourite way to exercise but my local rink shut down several years ago so I can't do that anymore. My favourite basic training obstacles were definitely the walls.

Good on you for keeping your rifle dry and ruining the Regiment CO's day.
Sounds awesome!

I can relate!
As I said, I don’t love exercise and I was definitely not built for running. I did do little athletics as a kid but I always came last. I used to get the sportsmanship awards.

I have never been sporty but I do enjoy the feeling once I have done exercise - just not so much at the time.
I’ve shared in another thread that I do love parkrun. I enjoy being outdoors - bushwalking is great. I did triathlons for a while with some friends - just short ones - but the running is always my downfall. I’m not built to run so it always is a struggle. Walking is much more achievable - especially with my old knees and ankles
I never really played sports as a kid - but I loved horse riding. We were lucky it was an option at school for weekly sport.
and I’ve always wanted to learn to surf - but now rounds of learn to surf courses and I haven’t had much success. Might have to stick to the boogie board.

I also enjoy bushwalking and have previously walked from Kalamunda to Collie on the Bibbulman track. I would love to do an end to end sometime, it takes around 2 months. I am not fit enough to attempt it yet.
I love horses too and used to pay to go on trail rides when I was in the Army in my time off. I could never own a horse as they cost way too much.

@Oaktree There seem to be a lot of veteran horse programs popping up. A friend recommended one near me - but unfortunately with full time work, it’s hard to find time to do programs like this.
I’d love to do some multi-day hikes. Larapinta maybe. Except I’m PETRIFIED of snakes lol

Me too regarding the snakes @Magpie22
