Hopefully the feral rabbits will be dissuaded by the height of the beds @Patches59 . I was sorry they devastated some of your plants in the front. I interrupted a magpie at my birdbath the other day, so I promptly cleaned it - it's good to see it's actually used.
Yes the family are causing heartache at present. And I grieve for older relatives. I'm at a loss re siblings. A lot of angst.
I hadn't thought of resealing potting mix etc bags. I guess I could use bulldog clips.

@Patches59 hope the psychologist gave you good guidance re directions to go in.
I guess I'll be mulling some form of the serenity prayer over the weekend.

@Dimity If Indont fasten top of open bags of potting mix the cats get into the bags, either use it instead of their litter or scratch it out to roll in. 2 bags, one fastened with old wire hangar, other by wool. Couldn’t find any string.

Oh hugs @Patches59 I hope you feel welcome and wanted here on the forums.
Grief is hard, it can sneak up or roll in waves.
I regret giving away a nice kalanchoe I had. One day I'll get more.
I'm glad you'll try ACT. it sounds promising and I bought a book on it but I have no idea what I did with it. It might be buried under papers on the coffee table. 6 weeks will take you well past your surgery date, hopefully you'll be feeling better and able to take on board the new approach.

@Dimity I’m trying and hoping I’m doing better on the forums with posts. Don’t want to get in trouble with same people again.
struggling this morning due to only few hours sleep
next appointment was changed from day after procedure to 2weeks later.
sent email yesterday to firm my psychologist works with, have used up my 10 weeks on MHCP and haven’t received their statement so I can lodge claim with health insurance.
As part of last 2 moves I got rid of lots of books, some of which I regret. Your book will turn up when it’s ready.
ive got one series of 11 books, still can’t find #3 which is a total puzzle
how is Tiger? Could a vet visit be an option to get some answers?
this was my Tiger

Your Tiger looks nice @Patches59 . I like his ginger toes.
I hope you have no trouble getting the statement from the psychologist. This is the second or third time there's been a hitch for me around going from MHCP to private, with or without health insurance.
Perhaps you can nap today to catch up on sleep.
Tiger sees the vet every two months for his arthritis shot but she's not helpful on his other issues.
Feeling desperately unhappy about stuff I can't control atm so will try to do some chores.

Tiger was found by neighbours children, he was living in gutters. Area I was living in had no overhead wires, everything eas underground and he was somehow surviving down there. he was a one person, one household cat. Made things difficult due to already having other cats.
thats sad and disappointing to hear about the vet that sees your Tiger. Would you consider taking him to another vet, if there is one nearby? Mobile vet?
due to things that happened with one of my previous cats, there are 2 vet practices I refuse to take my cats to.
focusing on things you can control eg housework, gardening sounds good idea. Having things that can’t control isn’t easy to sit with, on flip side is not good for one’s own MH.
could looking at situations etc from different perspectives help ease you thoughts, concerns etc?
has your counsellor given you any tools to help?
I’ve in a slump today. Woke 6am with thoughts to do 3, maybe 4 things. After mid day and ive got one done.
No I have no tools @Patches59 .
Your slump is understandable. I'm under a black cloud myself.
You were good to take in Tiger. I took in a lovely blue-grey boy but he upset the dynamic with the other 2 cats.
I've pondered taking Tiger elsewhere but it would be an effort with an uncertain outcome. I tried to move across to another vet a year or two ago but got flummoxed by the paperwork.
I didn't get much done today beyond usual chores. Very worried. Re different perspectives I've been stressing for a long time and can't think of any solutions.
Hope your afternoon was better than the morning.
