Re: General chat

@Dimity I’m dragging my heels every morning recently.

today was supposed to be shower first thing ….. I’ll get there some time today

summary of today’s email re: legal complaint - lawyer has told porkies to investigator.  Her emails to me show opposite info that what lawyer has told investigator.  Within next couple weeks complaint going to next step which is recommend to close the case or impose penalties

trying to be positive but loosing the battle

take care

Re: General chat

Hmm sounds as though you need to pursue the case and tender the lawyer's emails to the investigator. Hang in there.

I've had slow starts lately too. We'll get there, just a little later. I'll be pegging a late wash when the machine finishes.

I've just asked the solicitor to explain his wording, after avoiding the issue for a week.

Sunny, breezy day here.  Hope it's nice where you are.

Re: General chat

Legal wording can be tricky at times, well done for checking with the lawyer.  Through course at TAFE plus employment I’ve dealt with some aspects of legal wording. I still clarify wording on legal documents.

To support my complaint few months ago I forwarded copies of emails to the Legal Services Board and investigator made reference to one in her email.

sunshine and slight breeze is lovely here @Dimity

Front door and part of sliding doors open (my back door is a triple sliding glass door).  Cats happily moving between both doors enjoying the smells.

looking around at all the things I need to do, don’t have interest in doing so though.  Prefer to shut up shop and crawl back into bed …. Don’t crawl out until 10am ish most days

Re: General chat

Pain, depression, fatigue... bed can feel the safest place. Hope you're looking after yourself, it's not easy.

I'll get a cuppa then try to straighten the papers and plant some dahlias and artichokes.

Re: General chat

hey @Dimity @Patches59 @NatureLover! hoping this week ahead sails smoothly for you all.

@Dimity oo dahlias are so lovely, what coloured ones are you planting?

@Patches59 hope the decluttering has been going okay, how's the knitting going?

Re: General chat

@Dimity  Neighbour came over for me to sign a nomination form for him, he is nominating for a position on social club committee.

he apologised for not getting back to me with estimate of cost for raised garden beds plus ideas for couple different layouts.   Discussed with him me wanting to have some plants in hanging baskets.  Showed him my thoughts for wooden structure and sent him back to the drawing board

My thoughts are similar to the photo but without the lattice, possible cross member piece of timber part way up for stability (if needed).

I’m thinking of planting kangaroo paw plants, any idea if be best to have trellis behind them for support as they grow?  Maybe buying packets of different coloured daffodils and doing mass planting.  I’ve never done but know bulbs can be split as they get too many.

I need to research plants for hanging baskets.  Can picture one specific type I like, can’t remember name.  Might need to research kangaroo paw plants.  House near me has them in the front yard and the plants are quite tall

I had few pots of dahlias growing well before I moved.  Most of the bulbs didn’t survive.  By now, only plants I’ve got out back are 6 chrysanthemums in pots

Re: General chat

Decluttering coming along slowly @rav3n

Most recent area was the garage where I have reclaimed half of the floor.  Rest of the things in there are going to take time to deal with.

knitting cushion cover is progressing slowly.
I started with just over 600 stitches on circular needle.

Pattern has small number stitches decreased each second row.  Ive started a small one (just over 300 stitches) which is in my case for end of this week

Re: General chat

You're doing well with the decluttering @Patches59

Glad the neighbour got back to you about the planter boxes. In my experience kangaroo paw flowering stalks don't really need support. But if you had a trellis you could grow a light climber like a native appleberry or native jasmine (they're very delicate looking compared with common jasmine).

@rav3n my dahlia is yellow, with purple leaves.

Re: General chat

@Dimity   Earlier this year I got rid of star jasmines that were growing on trellis on back fence.  New growth was growing out at all angles.  I had potato vine growing on trellis on back fence when I moved in….. nasty, nasty thing.

I need to look into Snail Creeper if I get something to put on a trellis.  Over time, like any creeper or climber, they can take over everything which I don’t want.

I was thinking of fuchsias in hanging baskets, remember the lovely display my maternal grandmother had.  Also remember the mess the plants made when the flowers dropped.

Dahlia with purple leaves, quite unique.  Sounds lovely.  Photos??

Re: General chat

@Patches59 good work so far!! any time i have to declutter a space, i take a while too. garages are one of the harder spaces, so many lil bits and bobs!!

oh wow! i look forward to seeing how they turn out!!

@Dimity yellow with purple leaves sound beautiful, don't think i've seen those ones either!! keen to see how these turn out too!!
