Re: MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH: Australia, Let's Talk (October 2023)

Hey everyone! Here is todays question 🙂

Think back to a time when you felt most content. What was present in your life to create that feeling?

I can't wait to read through some of your answers!

I was most content when I lived in the coast. I did suffer with depression and SH cycles at times though. But they have been constant throughout my life.

I had 3 different groups of friends. I was always out and doing something with one of the groups. If I did have free time. I would just drive around and find different beaches and go to different places. I would just look at all the scenery and views. The place was beautiful.

Hey @Glisten I can happily confirm I have gotten the job!😁

I have started this week and am so happy already

A perfect day for me would be sitting at my local lookout, its so beautiful and peaceful and holds a lot of memories for me. I would love to be there having a bbq/picnic lunch with family and friends and everyone just catching up enjoying some fresh air and sunlight. They have also just built a little playground up there (im yet to visit and see) so that would make it more enjoyable for all the kiddies. 🌳🌄

i think by far the kindest thing that has happened to me @hanami  is my partner we met on a forum when we where both really unwell mentally, fell in love and are still together after 6 years.

@MissLil  I am so THRILLED by your post! Clearly crossing fingers and toes does make a difference 😜

I am truly happy for you 🤗

Time when I felt most content….

first memory that comes to my mind, and I would say was when I was most contented, is being primary school child at my mums mum, my Nana’s.  I was physically taller than her by time I was about 10 or 11 but always looked up to her.  She was an amazing woman who had various physical health conditions yet always had time for each and everyone of her grandchildren.

Hmm.

it feels weird but I’d say 2022.

I found myself accepting my weirdness in my own little way (to be fair I’ve been diagnosed differently in 2023 and that might have changed - another discussion for another day 😂) and had just started doing things for myself and discovering new friendship groups.

I just felt content with life, you know?

A sense of stability and financial security!

I would tell myself that it is OK to listen to my doctor's advice, but it is better to follow their instructions in the long hall because it will prevent long-term suffering from being so resistant to treatment.
