Hi,
I recently tapered one med (SSRI) under GP guidance and completely stopped another (mood stabiliser) without GP guidance and have hit a brick wall so have gone back up a couple of mg of the SSRI and as I ended up being referred to mental health services psychiatrist I am now also back on a low dose of the mood stabiliser and possibly going back to the full dose that I was one. It’s really shattered my self esteem as I had hoped to get off the psych meds all together.

hey @332! coming off of medication without full GP guidance, and then having to re-adjust to medication again sounds like A LOT so it's absolutely understandable that you'd feel frustrated and upset. sometimes the path to feeling better isn’t linear - it goes up, down, it backtracks, it pauses - and that’s still progress, even if it doesn’t feel like it.
i know you mentioned having a goal to come off of meds completely, and i'm sorry that this interrupts that plan - but it does not mean you've failed, you can still get back to that point with time. i hope you're able to be kind to yourself, you're only human.

Surviving as well as I can was my bottom line @332 I have titrated up and down over decades. Sadly it has been necessary, however I have been on very low doses for the last 5 years. Meds may have a place although I understand your desire to minimise them. Take care
