Re: General chat

The dahlias are just tubers atm @rav3n @Patches59 so photos are wishful thinking.

My potato creeper was more than I could cope with. I kept having to cut it back.

I loved the fuschias we had when I was a kid. I'd watch the eastern spinebills and other honeyeaters. We must have had 6 or 7 different fuchsias.

Re: General chat

that's fair! @Dimity

when i read 'potato creeper' i thought it was a potato plant haha but they are quite pretty flowers! fuschias are gorgeous too, love the purple and pink ones!

Re: General chat

Fuchsias and snail creeper always remind me of my maternal grandmother and her home when I was in primary school @rav3n @Dimity

stepped out through back door and were in small paved and covered area in which she had fuchsias in hanging baskets.  I remember part of flower colours, one was mauve and other was red.

Outdoor toilet in front of which was a low wood fence with an evergreen snail creeper growing all over it.  Thinking back, I think the fence and snail creeper were holding each other up, creeper was very dense and had been there for years

it's so lovely how certain plants and flowers can be so nostalgic  @Patches59 @Dimity
