The dahlias are just tubers atm @rav3n @Patches59 so photos are wishful thinking.
My potato creeper was more than I could cope with. I kept having to cut it back.
I loved the fuschias we had when I was a kid. I'd watch the eastern spinebills and other honeyeaters. We must have had 6 or 7 different fuchsias.

Fuchsias and snail creeper always remind me of my maternal grandmother and her home when I was in primary school @rav3n @Dimity
stepped out through back door and were in small paved and covered area in which she had fuchsias in hanging baskets. I remember part of flower colours, one was mauve and other was red.
Outdoor toilet in front of which was a low wood fence with an evergreen snail creeper growing all over it. Thinking back, I think the fence and snail creeper were holding each other up, creeper was very dense and had been there for years

it's so lovely how certain plants and flowers can be so nostalgic ✨ @Patches59 @Dimity

Yes I remember outdoor toilets with trumpet vine @Patches59 (orange flowers). I lived with an outside toilet until I was 15. Moved 6 times.
There was a big fuchsia outside my bedroom window.at one place.
yesterday
@Dimity My childhood home had outside toilet until I was in late primary school with cage with rosellas near it. House I lived in for about 1yr in my late teens had outside toilet Both my grandparents houses had outside toilets until they were renovated after being sold in mid 70’s. My paternal grandfather used to get bored and would paint things …. Toilet seat, bath, kitchen cupboards …. He painted over what was there which led to kitchen cupboards being impossible to shut due to layers and layers of paint.
sitting on the couch thinking of couple things I want to ask on Thursday and it started raining. Has gotten cold though, single fingers outside
Lazy afternoon which Sunny enjoyed. He was stretched out on my legs sound asleep at one point, his head hear my ankles and back feet couple inches away from my groin.
hope rain didn’t impact on you going for a walk.
hoping you took some time away from everything just for you. Any plans for doing more planting?
yesterday
@rav3n My maternal grandmothers home was one of my favourite places. Pain due to arthritis has me missing her and grieving a lot recently. The only family member I could have talked with and who would have understood exactly what I’m going through.
Ive got lots of memories of happy, funny and silly things that happened. The flowers, picking mulberries off the tree in her backyard, her humour, plus lots more
how long before your interstate trip? Where are you going to (if you don’t mind sharing)?

Hello @Patches59 @rav3n
I was close to my maternal grandmother too and have many positive memories of her and my grandfather and their lovely home and garden although they got a bit run down in later years.
Hope you're resting up today Patches apart from last minute preparations for tomorrow.
I do have a lot of plants in pots that need planting out. Just haven't had much mental bandwidth to place them all. And I still need someone to dig out a couple of unwanted plants from the backyard.
The wind is cold but the showers are holding off. I'll get a cocoa then probably go for a walk.
